FAQs
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS FOR A SPIT ROAST

How long does it take for you to prepare your food?
All our food is prepared from fresh on site. We generally arrive approximately 4 to 6 hours ahead of your eating time.

How long does a pig/lamb take to cook?
Pigs take 4-5 hours
Lamb takes 3-4 hours

Can you cook indoors?
We always cook outside. Hog roasts are cooked in weather-proof ovens, we are then able to carry the whole hog inside for presentation & service.

How many people will it feed?
Hogs come in different sizes and we choose meat according to the function.

A pig will comfortably feed 100 people.
A lamb will comfortably feed 40 people.

If you have in excess of these numbers, we can always cook two whole pigs or two whole lambs.

If I have only 20 people can I still have a pig or lamb?
Yes of course you can, but our set menu is charged on a minimum of 50 guests.

Can we supply our own meat?
Sorry, NO. For health and safety reasons, we only use our own.

Do you only provide the food?
No. We provide as much or as little as you require. We can do everything from just a roast to organising the whole event.

How many people can you cater for?
We can cater for most groups of people. We have catered for parties ranging from 20 to 1000 guests and shows of up to 4000! There really is no limit!

How much space do you need?
We can work from limited space. For just a spit roast 10 sq ft is adequate and 14ft x 6ft for a standard buffet.

What do I need to provide?
We are totally self-contained but do require accessible running water and a 13-amp power supply (two if 2 hogs are required).

What happens if it rains?
Rain has no impact on our BBQs and we bring our own canopies.

How far do you travel?
Generally, we only cover South East London, Kent, Surrey and Sussex. However, we do venture further a field occasionally. Please do not hesitate to ask.
